this is the page where i will put cast biographies and pictures for: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Uncle Iroh, Commander Zhao, Suki, Momo, Appa, Monk Gyatso, Avatar Roku, Maang, Gran-Gran, King Bumi, Young Bumi, and Jet. if you want a biography on a character i haven't listed, choose the link "contact me" and in the subject bar, type "new character biography" and type in the character's name. please try to limit the character suggestions to 2 at a time, i cant work that fast! thanks and enjoy.

Aang is an airbender that found out he was the Avatar at age 12, instead of 16. upon hearing this, he ran away with Appa, his 10 ton flying bison. a terrible storm came upon him and a wave smashed them into the water. he went limp. his eyes and arrow tattoos began to glow and he clenched the reigns on Appa's saddle. he did a way cool air/waterbending thing and froze himself into an iceburg. 100 years later, Katara and Sokka, two teens from a small water tribe in the south pole discovered this iceburg. they broke it open and aang woke up, beginning the adventure.

Katara is the last waterbender in the southern water tribe. she and her brother, Sokka, are the ones who discovered Aang in the iceberg . after finding out that Aang was the avatar and that he needed to master waterbending, she says that they could go together so they could both master it. this leads to a loooooong journey on Appa all the way across the world (poor guy) to the north pole, where there is a waterbending master that is willing to teach Aang....but not Katara. he says that his tribe's customs do not allow women to waterbend, unless they are healers. Aang is furious about this and tells him that if he doesnt teach Katara, then he cant teach Aang. Katara then gets into a duel with him (and puts up a heck of a good fight, i'd say) and her necklace falls off. turns out the necklace was made as an engagement gift by the master to katara's gran-gran! but apparently Gran-gran didn't want to follow his tribe's customs so she ditched the dude. then the master and katara become good friends and he agrees to teach her waterbending.
